Our Process

Simple 7-Step Method

Our simple 7-step method helps outline every aspect of the project process from initial consultation to finished product and beyond. Our team walks with you every step of the way and helps ensure that your project is completed on time, on budget, and with your needs and dreams in mind.

The 7-steps

1. No-Obligation First Meeting

In our initial consultation, we will discuss and take detailed notes on your goals, schedule, style, and budget. After analyzing your area of remodel or construction, we can determine the appropriate approach to take at this time and provide you an idea of what the next steps would look like. With your budget in mind, our team going to the drawing table and prepares concepts for our next meeting.

2. Design and Written Proposal

After our initial meeting, our team develops preliminary designs based on input provided by you, including design ideas, style, aesthetic, and needs of the space. These designs are presented in computer-generated drawings (plans and elevations), and 3D renderings. We “value-engineer” your project, determining the most cost-effective way to build, and we price various options at this stage that layout a few options for your final concept. From here, a second meeting is scheduled to review the contract proposal in detail, the payment schedule, and the time-frame for your project.

3. Proposal and Process Overview

After our 2nd meeting, we will review any changes you decide upon and update your contract price, timeline, and other variables as needed. With the new project revisions in place, we present to you the final proposal and answer any additional questions you may have. Acceptance of your contract proposal, including signatures and down payment, will start the formal project process. This usually begins with the permit applications to the township or the borough.

4. Final Design

Upon the signing of the contract proposal, it is normal and even desirable, to spend time refining the designs of your project. We will work with you to choose one of the preliminary designs and update them accordingly. Revised plans will need your approval before the construction actually starts.

5. Finishes and Selections

Now that your designs are settled upon, the fun part really starts! This step is where you add the textures, colors, and finishes that will reflect your style, putting your personal touch into the project. We can be involved in this part of the process as little or as much as you desire. Our interior designers will inform you of the selections that need to be made and, if you wish, can provide suggestions on faucets, cabinetry, granite tops, flooring, paint colors, and more to help support your vision.

6. Construction

The construction phase is intense and exciting. We provide an itemized time schedule for construction, so you know exactly what is happening and when. You will have on-site supervisors from our team who are there to manage the subcontractors, provide quality assurance, keep things on the timeline, and who are available to answer your construction questions. No matter how much preparation and planning has been done, there are always decisions to be made. We like to take advantage of any new opportunities that might appear to improve the design or incorporate more of your personal style into the space. We know you’re still living in your home during construction and take great measures to be respectful of your home and schedule.

7. Post Project

We don’t believe in rushing to get a project finished in order to move onto a new one. We want the final product to be one that both customers and contractors can be proud of. We do a final walk-through with you once construction is complete to address any concerns you may have and confirm everything is completed. We believe in delivering a well-built quality project, but if for some reason there’s a need for service, we’ll be there to make it right for you. Even after the final walkthrough, you’re welcome to reach out to our team with any questions, follow-ups, or other needs that we can help with.

Our business grows by word of mouth and client referrals, so it is to our mutual advantage to provide our clients with the best possible finished product. We have terrific relationships with our clients and look forward to showing you first-hand on your project!
